1. Acceptance of Terms
By using our website and services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.
2. Online Reservation Process
The process of making online reservations with Barcelona City Taxi is designed to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience. Please review the following steps and conditions carefully before proceeding:
2.1. Booking Process
We offer the convenience of booking our taxi and VTC services through a booking form provided on our website. By submitting a booking request, you agree to provide accurate and complete information. If a ride is booked with us using a third-party platform, the same terms and conditions will apply. This ensures that all reservations, whether made directly through our website or via an external service, are governed by the same rules and policies.
2.2. Booking Responsibility
2.2.1. Age Requirement: To book with us, you must be at least 18 years old and responsible for the entire booking process.
2.2.2. Accuracy and Completeness: Ensure all your details are correct and complete.
2.2.3. Payment: Confirm your booking by making full payment. Once confirmed, we’ll get everything ready for your service.
2.3. Booking Confirmation
2.3.1. Binding Contract: The contract between you and Barcelona City Taxi becomes binding only upon receiving your booking confirmation by email. Initially, you will receive a booking notification and the estimated price, and upon payment, you will receive the booking confirmation.
2.3.2. Service Availability: If, for any reason, we can’t provide the service you requested, we’ll let you know promptly and refund the full amount using your original payment method.
2.3.3. Traveling with Minors: We can’t provide services to minors. If a minor books with us, their parents or guardians must contact us for cancellation. Minors should always travel with an adult.
2.4. Payment Options
We offer various payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, bank transfers, PayPal, and BIZUM. Any extra costs will be added to your bill.
2.5. Changes to Bookings
2.5.1. Advance Notice: If you need to make changes to your destination, pickup point, or accommodation address, let us know via email or WhatsApp 24 hours before your service date. Changes are only effective after our confirmation.
2.5.2. Cost Increases: The customer assumes any increase in the cost of the service due to changes in the booking.
2.5.3. Last-Minute Changes: For any last-minute changes, such as modifications to your pickup time, destination, or other details, we encourage direct communication with your assigned driver. Your driver will assess your requested changes and, if agreeable, accommodate your needs.
2.6. Refunds
We are committed to accommodating your changing travel needs. If you need to make changes or cancel your reservation, please notify us at least 24 hours before the scheduled transfer service. Refunds will not be provided for changes or cancellations made less than 24 hours before the transfer service.
2.7. Child Seats
When booking a private transfer with us, safety, especially for children, is our top priority. Always adhere to local and national legislation. For the safety of young passengers under 12 years or those shorter than 135 cm, we strongly recommend using appropriate child seats or boosters. You can easily reserve these during the booking process.
2.8. Wheelchairs and Bookings for People with Reduced Mobility
For passengers with specific needs, we offer additional services:
2.8.1. Special Assistance: Passengers with reduced mobility should contact our Customer Service for specialized assistance. While we’re not specialists in transporting passengers with reduced mobility, we strive to meet your requirements.
2.8.2. Wheelchair Limitations: Please note that we can only accept folding wheelchairs, and the specific vehicle used for your transfer cannot be guaranteed.
2.9. Travel Insurance
For a worry-free journey, it’s strongly advisable to purchase travel insurance which suits you best. Review the policy and carry the necessary documents while traveling.
2.10. Permitted Luggage
Our private transfer vehicles are designed to accommodate at least one suitcase per passenger seat. Here’s what you need to know:
2.10.1. Luggage Declaration: Each passenger is permitted to bring one suitcase. It’s crucial to inform us about your luggage during the reservation. Smaller items that can fit on passenger footrests, like cameras, small bags, or backpacks, don’t need to be declared. Any additional vehicle costs due to undeclared luggage are the passenger’s responsibility.
2.10.2. Prohibited Items: By accepting our Terms and Conditions, you agree not to include any items in your luggage or personal belongings that violate local laws, pose harm to others, or are excessively large, heavy, perishable, or fragile. Firearms or similar objects are strictly prohibited.
2.10.3. Luggage Risk: Transporting luggage and personal items is at your own risk. We can’t be held responsible for any damages or losses. We strongly recommend obtaining travel insurance to cover the risk of damage or loss.
2.11. Vehicle Categories
We offer three categories for our fleet to cater to different preferences and needs: Economy, Standard, and First Class. Each category comprises various vehicles to ensure comfort and satisfaction for our passengers. The Economy category includes vehicles such as the Corolla Sedan, Toyota Prius, Toyota Prius Plus, Ford Mondeo, Kia Ceed, and others. The Standard category features vehicles like the Lexus, Toyota Camry, VW Caddy, Hyundai Ioniq, Mercedes Vito, Ford Custom, Fiat Talento, Ford Tourneo, and more. The First Class category boasts premium vehicles including the Mercedes-Benz S Class, BMW 5 Series, Lexus ES Luxury, Mercedes-Benz V Class, Mercedes-Benz E Class, and others.
When a ride is booked, the customer books a category, not a specific vehicle. We will provide a vehicle from the chosen category based on availability. While we strive to provide the best possible match, we cannot guarantee a particular make or model within the selected category. Our goal is to ensure a high standard of service across all categories, regardless of the specific vehicle provided. Should you have any special requests or preferences, please inform us at the time of booking, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs, though no specific vehicle guarantees can be made.
2.12. Your Responsibility
By entering into this contract, you affirm the following:
2.12.1. Legal Age: You are of legal age and fully capable of assuming the legal responsibilities stipulated in this agreement.
2.12.2. Understanding of Services: You comprehend the scope of the services provided, possess knowledge of the company’s information, and have reviewed the contents of the Terms and Conditions.
2.12.3. Documentation for Crossing Borders: You bear the responsibility of furnishing the necessary documentation for border crossings. Failure to comply with the customs, police, tax, or administrative regulations of the countries you enter may result in additional costs.
2.12.4. Incident Costs: We retain the right to charge your credit or debit card for any expenses related to vehicle damage or lost items. In cases of recurrent incidents or significant issues, we may decide to decline further reservations from the customer.
2.12.5. Right of Admission: By consenting to this contract, you grant us and the transport operator the authority to decline service to passengers who, in the judgment of the driver, are under the influence of alcohol or narcotics or exhibit behavior deemed perilous to the driver, other passengers, or themselves. Please be aware that the consumption of alcohol and narcotics inside the vehicles is prohibited, as is smoking and eating.
3. Complaints
In the event that the service falls short of your expectations, it is essential to notify our Customer Service immediately, preferably at the time the issue arises. Complaints received after the conclusion of the transfer service and not reported during the journey may not be accommodated, as we would not have had the opportunity to provide assistance or intervene. 4. User Responsibilities
4.1. Lawful Use: You agree to use our website and services for lawful purposes only and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1. Content Usage: All content on our website, including text, images, and logos, is protected by intellectual property rights. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute our content without our written consent.
6. Limitation of Liability
6.1. Liability: We take responsibility for our actions and negligence, but there are limits. Our liability is capped at the total amount paid by you. We can’t be held responsible for incidents beyond our control, including force majeure events.
7. Governing Law
7.1. Jurisdiction: These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Barcelona in accordance with the law.
8. Changes to Terms and Conditions
8.1. Updates: We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The last updated date will be amended accordingly. Continued use of our website and services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
